FATA Officials underwent Contract Management Training

One day workshop on Contract Management organized by GPP

under sub component of Strengthening Public Procurement to help develop the capacity of officials from FATA Secretariat line Directorates and Governance & Policy Project Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Baluchistan in Contract Management at Peshawar Garrison Club on 10th May 2017. Specific objective of the workshop was to develop basic understanding of Contract Management and enhance the capacity of line directorates of FATA, GPP KP & Baluchistan in managing contracts of different natures.

The workshop was attended by 27 participants (including 02 women) of Finance, Irrigation, Agriculture, Livestock, Works & Services, Health, Education, Public Health Engineering and P&D Directorates as well as GPP Baluchistan & KP.


Mr. Rehan Haider, Senior Procurement Specialist World Bank Islamabad office conducted the workshop. He explained the basics of Contract Management and its importance in management of public funds. He also answered questions regarding Contract Management raised by the participants.

In the end while concluding the Workshop, Mohammad Zahoor, Coordinator GPP FATA asked the participants if they needed further trainings in Contract Management. The participants appreciated the efforts of GPP FATA and requested for arranging more trainings on the subject.
