PCNA ISU Gets Going

In order to hire sector specialists from the open market, various positions were made public through national dailies and Brightspyre, a hiring web portal on Feb 12, 2012.

By 21st Feb, 2012, as the closing date, some 2590 candidates including 136 female contenders applied for various positions. Keeping in view the approved qualifications and experience, out of 2590 aspirants 242 were shortlisted and top ten candidates for each position were invited for an interview. In the preliminary interview the best four candidates for each position were shortlisted for final interview.

The final interview was conducted by the selection committee headed by the Secretary Planning and Development FATA with coordinator PCNA-ISU and Procurement Specialist as its member.

Recommendations of the selection committee were sent to the World Bank for approval and thus the hiring was made through open market competition process, focused on gender balance, however none of the female candidates came up to the expectations of the selection committee.

All the selected sector specialists have assumed their duties and are working in their respective sectors.
